A wonderful part of the new library is the Ron Shipton HIV/AIDS Collection. It’s an excellent collection of HIV literature and information and was in fact, the first in the nation.
The Book fair is an all day event and is home to 12 stages, a writing room, and 125 exhibitors. The Book Fair and all Book Fair events are free! It’s a fair with books! What’s not to love?
There are numerous LGBT panels and readings taking place at the book fair and undoubtedly there will be discussions about HIV in the various smart and sexy workshops. I am very pleased to report that I will be doing a reading of excerpts from my play, “The Infection Monologues”. Participating in the reading with me will be writer,Brody Brown and actor Matthew Herrick.
“The Infection Monologues” is a funny and thought-provoking play about the modern HIV experience. There will also be a brief discussion afterward. The reading starts at 4:20 in the Queer and Quirky Pavilion. It’s a weekend of books and literature. You don’t want to miss it.
