There’s a new LGBT campaign on the block bringing visibility to the cause. The We Can Do It! photo campaign, recently launched by Open Artist Movement, aims to build solidarity and personal strength through positive messaging. According to OAM, “the goal is to bring to live modern iconic individuals, by depicting them as powerful and not victims in support of the global LGBT movement worldwide.”
Photographer John Ganun has captured the images of Wilson Cruz and Darryl Stephens of Noah’s Arc, Top Model Stephanie Roberts and co-creators of The DL Chronicles, Quincy LeNear and Deondray Gossett in the classic J. Howard Miller “We Can Do It” pose.
The campaign is just another way to bring attention to current issues: gays in the middle east, lesbian mothers, gay fathers, and the unjust “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” military policy that so desperately needs to be repealed.
